LOOKING Dragline Power Cable is a power cable designed for mining giant electric shovels and other equipment, suitable for extreme dynamic conditions. It adopts three layers of reverse twisting, which makes it flexible and tensile, making it easier to lay. In addition, it adopts steel belt armor layer and wear-resistant sheath material, which makes it extremely wear-resistant and can adapt well to the environment of mines. It can maintain stable and continuous power supply even if it is frequently dragged.

Stable power supply in extreme temperature range

LOOKING Dragline Power Cable uses silicone modified PUR as sheath (low temperature brittle point -70℃, high temperature softening point>200℃). Even under 35kV/2000A working conditions, the conductor temperature rise is ≤45K, and it can maintain stable performance under various extreme temperatures.

Long-life Dragline Power Cable

Uses preformed conductors, which are pre-bent to the curvature of the cable bending radius (R=1.8m) when twisted; in addition, an elastic buffer layer is designed, and a silicone microporous layer (thickness 0.5mm) is set between the conductor and the insulation to absorb vibration energy. The bending life is more than 10 times longer than that of ordinary cables.

All-condition flame retardant and chemical corrosion resistant

LOOKING Dragline Power Cable sheath adds magnesium hydroxide/zinc molybdate synergist, passing the MSHA flame propagation test; at the same time, it can withstand pH=1 sulfuric acid immersion for more than 30 days, and CAT diesel penetration resistance is less than 0.1g/m²·h, suitable for various complex environments in mines.

FAQ

What is the reason for the failure of the Dragline Power Cable drum torsion back?

It is because the cable generates torque accumulation when the drum is wound in multiple layers. It is recommended to use Z-shaped twisting + central FRP reinforcement core.

How to deal with the low-temperature brittle cracking of the Dragline Power Cable sheath?

It is generally due to groundwater + stray current causing pitting of the copper belt. It is recommended to thicken the tinned layer of the copper belt and impregnate the braided layer with anti-corrosion glue.
